Autumn / Winter Season 2006

Independant Ballet Wales
presents

Canterbury Tales

Explosive Dance, Physical Theatre, Classical Ballet.

Saturday 30th September • 7.30pm
Tickets £15 - £4.50

Independent Ballet Wales' young, vital dancers push back the barriers of classical ballet in their new interpretation of Geoffrey Chaucer's classic The Canterbury Tales. Told by a group of men and women on a pilgrimage from London to Canterbury, The Canterbury Tales recounts the stories they decide to tell one another to pass the time. From the earthy wife of Bath to the gentlemanly knight, from the nun to the squire, the monk to the miller, Independent Ballet Wales’ vivid interpretation brings Chaucer's vibrant crowd of characters to life through original choreography, expressive costumes and stunning sets.

"Impressively able dancers and a choreographer who can make use of every gift they have."
