Back by popular demand, Compass Theatre Company present their spellbinding
production of Charles Dickens’ Hard Times adapted by Stephen Jeffreys.
In Coketown, callous businessmen, Thomas Gradgrind and Josiah Bounderby,
have created a logical, heartless world. While these monsters prosper,
children endure a cold and loveless life. But their unhappy world is
transformed when Sleary’s Circus comes to town.
Compass have been touring productions acclaimed for their passion, intelligence
and style since 1981 and Hard Times comes hot on the heels of their Moby
Dick, The Seagull, and The Rivals.
