Three couples. Three cocktail parties. Three successive Christmas Eves. Meet the up and coming Hopcrofts, their bank manager and his wife and their architect neighbour with his suicidal spouse at a Christmas celebration. Mix in a few festive drinks and absurdity ensues. Alan Ayckbourn’s exploration of marital chaos, class and cocktails will make you laugh out loud.
This production marks the 30th anniversary of Ayckbourn’s engagement at the Georgian Theatre Royal with the Scarborough Library Theatre Company in 1976.
