A double-bill by John Godber and a hilariously funny glimpse of Britain at play in the '80s! It's Friday night; it's disco night! It's the 1980's in Richmond and time for the door-men - the Bouncers - to come alive! In this comical parody of the local disco scene, four typical Bouncers, playing many different night club characters, invite us for a night out on the town. We meet tipsy, giggling girls, jack-the-lads on the 'pull', loud-mouthed punks and smooth-talking DJs, all against the glitzy glamour, the glaring lights and the pulsating sounds from the 80's disco dance floor. Meanwhile, the Shakers cocktail bar is the place-to-be-seen on a Friday night. We are given a glimpse of this world by four long-suffering cocktail waitresses, offering their opinions of the reality that lurks behind the plastic décor, the pina-coladas and the pretentious clientele. From the checkout girls to the chinless wonders, from the 1980 yuppies to the local 'talent', it's an evening to remember! CAUTION: Contains strong language.
